The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) recently announced the opening of the application portal for its 2022 annual recruitment. This body is thereby calling on the entire public to show their interest if they wish to join the Civil Defence.

Requirements to apply for the  NSCDC Recruitment

• Applicant must be a citizen of the Federal republic of Nigeria by birth or by descent.
• The applicant must have a valid means of identification to prove his/her citizenship.
• Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years.
• Male applicants must have a chest broadness of 0.87 metre.
• Male applicants must be at least 1.65 metre tall.
• Female applicants must be at least 1.60 metre tall.
• Applicant must be of good character. Also, the applicant must not be an ex convict.
• Applicant must not be a member of any secret society or cult group.
• The applicant must be medically and physically fit. It is mandatory that the applicant present his certificate of medical fitness from an accredited government hospital in the country.
• All Applicants are to note that computer literacy will be an added advantage, but not a mandatory requirement.

What should I do after downloading the Civil Defence Guarantor Form?

After downloading the PDF format of the Civil Defence Guarantor Form, the first thing to do is to go to a cyber Cafe to print it out. You must print it out because you can not use the form as a soft copy. It has to be submitted physically.

After that, the form is to be filled by two referees. The first section is to be filled by your Local Government Area Chairman. He or she will fill it and attach his or her signature below it.

The second section is to be filled by a civil servant who is in at least level 8. Note that the Civil servant must still be in service till your recruitment is successful. He or she will append his signature into the required space.

After the two referees have stood as guarantor for you, you are to attach your passport photograph to the space at the right hand side of the form.

After doing that, you have to wait till the screening date for the NSCDC Recruitment. On that day, you must go there with the Civil Defence Guarantor Form which must have been filled. The form is needed in the original copy.
